Free/Low Cost Design and Developer Software
Looking to get into design and/or coding? Maybe you want to give audio production or game production a try? Maybe you already have these skills. As the industry already knows, Adobe dominates the overall design and coding field with their wide line of readily available products. But what if you didn’t want to be tied down to adobe products?
Fear not! For the next few days we are going to explore alternative free, open source and low cost alternatives. I am going to cover everything from image editing to 3D rendering and compositing to audio production and game design.
Alternatives
Competition is always great. But why should you consider an alternative to an already popular software? First an foremost, Adobe products are not the only things out there. Second, why not be able to use a different product? You may like the workflow better and the alternative may have more to offer.
Another thing is being Linux friendly. Not everyone uses Mac or PC. Linux has some great operating systems as well as some great Linux only programs for Design, Coding, etc.. Also, if you’re like me, you have all three operating systems for different functions and programs.
Learning Curves
Don’t fear the learning curves of these different programs. We live in a digital age where tutorials and support is readily available with a simple Google search.
Remember to stay tuned this week for all the different softwares!
